Post 8 > English Language Challenges

What comments can you make about your experience learning English at university? What about blogging?

Learning English by zoom is a bit more complicated due to the subject of speaking practices, in a face-to-face way more is spoken between colleagues than by zoom, blogs are used to go looking for more vocabulary and to write something that is understood in English.

In addition, weekly blogs allow to have order and consistency in practice, since order and continuous exercise is maintained.

What aspects of your English do you need to improve and how do you plan to do it?

What I need to improve the most is speaking English, more than anything because I am ashamed, in my mind I always know what to say, but when I say it I shy away and say less than I know, I would like in the future , if the pandemic does not worse, join a group or class where they help me exercise speaking in English.

Another thing that costs me is to speak in the past or future, generally one only practices the present, so that is what I do best, my vocabulary in other times is practically null, I think that this could also improve if I practice it speaking with other people

Outside of English class, how much are you using English these days?

Currently I use English for video games or read post on social networks, Twitter or redit, which are mostly handled in English, I don't think I use English too much to speak, read or listen to it, I do use it a lot , but practice speaking at all, I have no one to do it with, no reason to do it.

  4. Javiera, if we could be in person it would be great to have a group to speak English, I think that the pronunciation has become very complex for many of us, greetings!
